Partisia Blockchain’s MPC unlocks for Polygon a new platform for privacy and unified public and private smart contracts.

In its quest to help scale Ethereum, Polygon has been delivering Zero-knowledge (ZK) proof based solutions for scaling up. But fundamental limitations of ZK proofs, mainly regarding security and experience have quickly become obvious. The lack of secure data handling and privacy on blockchains has been hampering uptake and use.

Using the Partisia Blockchain multi-party computation (MPC) privacy-preserving layer, Polygon transitions from the limited zk-proofs to the ultimate, end-game cryptographic method of zk-computation.

Developers building on Polygon are now able to run private computation transactions on the Partisia Blockchain and deploy their custom unified public and private smart contracts, linking them with their existing decentralized apps on Polygon to it through a dedicated bridge.

Starting with Polygon native USDC, Partisia will add support for Polygon-native tokens and any ERC-20 coins, including their use for paying node fees for running the network and private computations.

By leveraging zero-knowledge multi-party computation and the unified public and private smart contracts from the Partisia Blockchain, developers gain the potential to build hundreds of Polygon-powered use-cases, including:
● Decentralized search engines
● Monetizable data on decentralized social networks

● Full suite of DeFi ecosystem with decentralized exchanges, private auctions, and financial order matching services with built-in anti-fraud and anti-rigging
mechanisms
● Management of private documents and contents such as banking of health data while still allowing for public verification Partisia Blockchain project is the only Polygon partner that provides a complete platform for orchestrating and offering Zero-Knowledge (ZK) computations on-chain, off-chain, and across blockchains (inter-chain).

ZK computation from Partisia Blockchain adds privacy and confidentiality to Polygon in a decentralized fashion with no single point of trust and equips its developers with unified public and private smart contracts.

About Partisia Blockchain: a semi-permissioned blockchain that functions as a
transparent and structured platform for ZK computation and as a vehicle for organizing accredited trustees to further strengthen the blockchain ecosystem.

Conceived in the mid-80s, by the Partisia co-founders, Zero Knowledge computation has found a strong use case with the advent of blockchains, introducing new ways to tackle some of the industry’s biggest challenges. And one of the biggest innovations in this field was the introduction of secure multi-party computation, aka MPC.

On its own, MPC is considered in the ultimate class of modern cryptographics,
allowing computation on encrypted private and public data in all states. It, therefore, delivers the advantages of decentralized technologies while still guaranteeing data privacy and security with zero-knowledge proofs.
The team behind the Partisia Blockchain Foundation counts a number of well-known industry luminaries among its ranks, including world-leading cryptographers such as Ivan Damgard, Kurt Nielsen, and Jesper Buus Nielsen, developers, and entrepreneurs.
